Power outages and faults
If your power has gone out, or there’s an electrical or natural gas fault or failure, you’ll need to contact your local electricity or gas distributor.
Your distributor is responsible for the supply of energy to your property, including the poles and wires, gas pipes and connections.
Your electricity or gas distributor details will depend on your area. You can find the 24-hour assistance number for your distributor at the top of your Simply Energy bill.

If there is a gas fire at your property, move away from the affected area and call 000.
If you think there may be a gas leak at your property, do not turn on lights or electric appliances, and do not use landline or mobile phones. Never use a flame to look for a gas leak.
