It’s a program designed to reward the spirit of Australian business. If your business is not already a member, register now at www.qantasbusinessrewards.com, and then provide the same ABN to Simply Energy when signing up, so we can deliver your Qantas Points to your account.

Please note that if you are an existing Simply Energy customer, the rates for this new plan may not be the same as the rates for your current plan.     LOYALTY PROGRAM REWARD SCHEME SIMPLY ENERGY TERMS AND CONDITIONS
  • 1. Introduction
  • 1.1 These Terms and Conditions:
    1. apply to and govern the contractual relationship between the Program Partner and each Member with respect to the Reward Scheme made available by the Program Partner as a participant in the Qantas Business Rewards Program;
    2. are effective as at the date specified above and may be amended from time to time; and
    3. operate in conjunction with the Qantas Business Rewards Program Terms and Conditions (available at www.qantasbusinessrewards.com.au) and in the event of any inconsistency or conflict the Qantas Business Rewards Program Terms and Conditions prevail.
  • 1.2The current Reward Scheme Terms and Conditions are available at www.qantasbusinessrewards.com.au/terms. It is the Member’s responsibility to read and understand them. Any queries regarding these Terms and Conditions should be directed to the Program Partner.
  • 2. Definitions
  • 2.1 Unless the context otherwise requires:
    1. terms used in the Qantas Business Rewards Program Terms and Conditions and the QFF Program Terms have the same meaning in these Terms and Conditions; and
    2. the following terms have these meanings in these Terms and Conditions.
  • Eligible Products means the sale of electricity &/or as to Members of Qantas Business Rewards under the Simply Energy Qantas Business Rewards SME Contract.
  • Member means a registered member of the Qantas Business Rewards Loyalty Program.
  • Program Partner means IPOWER2 PTY LTD & IPOWER PTY LTD in partnership trading as Simply Energy ABN 67 269 241 237;
  • Qantas Business Rewards Benefits means the Simply Energy Ongoing Qantas Points and Simply Energy Bonus Qantas Points as specified in the table at the end of this document.
  • Reward Scheme means, for the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, the Qantas Business Rewards Benefits provided to Members under a Simply Energy Qantas Business Rewards SME Contract;
  • Simply Energy Qantas Business Rewards SME Contract means a contract formed on acceptance by a Member of the Simply Energy Qantas Business Rewards SME plan.
  • Simply Energy Qantas Business Rewards SME plan means the plan from Simply Energy to a Small Business Customer for the sale of electricity or electricity and gas inclusive of benefits including the Qantas Business Rewards Benefits.
  • Small Business Customer means a Member that:
    1. has an Australian Business Number (ABN);
    2. consumes less than 160 MWh (40 MWh for supply addresses in Victoria) of electricity each year and less than 1TJ of gas each year at the supply address under the Simply Energy Qantas Business Rewards SME Contract; and
    3. conducts a business from the supply address under the Simply Energy Qantas Business Rewards SME Contract.
  • SME Customer means a Small Business Customer that has an electricity network business tariff assigned to the supply address under the Simply Energy Qantas Business Rewards SME Contract.
  • SOHO Customer Products means the sale of electricity &/or as to Members of Qantas Business Rewards under the Simply Energy Qantas Business Rewards SME Contract.
  • Simply Energy Bonus Qantas Business Rewards Points means the Simply Energy Bonus Qantas Business Rewards Points as specified in the table at the end of this document.
  • Simply Energy Ongoing Qantas Business Rewards Points means the Simply Energy Ongoing Qantas Points as specified in the table at the end of this document.
  • Terms and Conditions means these Reward Scheme Terms and Conditions which are administered by the Program Partner.
  • 2.2 In these Terms and Conditions, unless the contrary intention appears:
    1. the singular includes the plural and vice versa; and
    2. a reference to ‘include’ or ‘including’ means ‘including but not limited to’.
  • 3. Application of Reward Scheme Terms and ConditionsBy claiming any Qantas Business Rewards Benefit under the Reward Scheme, a Member agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions in addition to the Qantas Business Rewards Program Terms and Conditions.
  • 4. Changes to Reward Scheme
  • 4.1 Subject to clause 4.2 and the Reward Scheme Terms and Conditions, the Program Partner may implement any changes (whether material or otherwise) to these Terms and Conditions and the Qantas Points planed in relation to Eligible Products, including changes to:
    1. the ways in which Qantas Points are earned under the Reward Scheme;
    2. Eligible Products; and
    3. restrictions, conditions and eligibility to earn Qantas Points under the Reward Scheme
  • 4.2 The Program Partner will inform Members of material changes to these Terms and Conditions and where such changes will reduce the number of Qantas Points planed to Members under the Reward Scheme, when possible, give Members at least 30 days’ notice.
  • 4.3 Without limiting clause 4.1 in any way, Members will be taken to have received the notice referred to in clause 4.2 if the Program Partner or Qantas Business Rewards Program notifies Members of the change by sending an email to the email address in the Membership Account.
  • 5. Termination or suspension of the Reward Scheme
  • 5.1 The Program Partner gives no undertaking as to the continuing availability of the Reward Scheme. The Program Partner may terminate or suspend the Reward Scheme at any time. and will give at least 60 days’ notice to Members of such termination or suspension, except if the Qantas Business Rewards Program ceases to operate, in which case the Reward Scheme will cease immediately
  • 5.2 If the Program Partner terminates or suspends the Reward Scheme, subject to the Qantas Business Rewards Program Terms and Conditions Members will be able to convert Qantas Points during the notice period, except where:
    1. Qantas is ceasing to operate an airline business and/or has gone into liquidation, receivership or other form of administration; and/or
    2. the Program Partner ceases to operate its business and/or has one into liquidation, receivership or other form of administration,
  • in which case Qantas Points in Qantas Business Rewards may be cancelled without notice
  • 6. Earning Qantas Business Rewards Benefits
  • 6.1 Subject to the exclusions, limitations and other conditions specified in this clause 6, the Program Partner will award Qantas Business Rewards Benefits to Members at the applicable rate specified in the Program Partner Earn Table, or in any special plan, for Eligible Products paid for by the Member for the Member’s business related purposes.
  • 6.2 No Qantas Business Rewards Benefits will be awarded if the Eligible Product is terminated or cancelled for any reason whatsoever before the Program Partner becomes responsible for the supply of electricity and/or gas at the Members address.
  • 6.3 To earn Qantas Business Rewards Benefits in relation to an Eligible Product, the Member must quote its ABN and at the time of purchasing an Eligible Product and must comply with any other requirements or procedures advised by the Program Partner prior to the purchase.
  • 6.4 It is the responsibility of the Member to check whether a product or other activity is eligible to earn Qantas Business Rewards Benefits, and if so how many Qantas Points or which other Qantas Business Rewards Benefits will be earned, before making a purchase or undertaking the relevant activity.
  • 6.5 Members must provide the Program Partner on request with documented verification of the purchase of an Eligible Product. The Program Partner reserves the right to deny or revoke the crediting of Qantas Points in Qantas Business Rewards at any time if the Program Partner determines that Qantas Points were improperly obtained or erroneously credited to a Member’s Membership Account
  • 6.6 Unless otherwise determined by the Program Partner, Members are not eligible to earn Qantas Points in the Reward Scheme if they:
    1. have their principal place of business outside Australia;
    2. are not a registered member of the Qantas Business Rewards Loyalty Program at the time of accepting the Simply Energy Qantas Business Rewards SME plan;
    3. do not quote the same Australian Business Number (ABN) as registered for the Member’s Qantas Business Rewards Loyalty Program membership account at the time of accepting the Simply Energy Qantas Business Rewards SME plan;
    4. are not a party to Simply Energy Qantas Business Rewards SME Contract;
    5. are not a Small Business Customer;
    6. are not a SOHO if the Simply Energy Qantas Business Rewards SME plan for a State or a particular electricity or gas distribution in a State states that it is only available to SOHO Customers.
  • 6.7 The Program Partner may plan additional opportunities to earn Qantas Points in Qantas Business Rewards under a special promotion from time to time, in which case the terms and conditions referred to in the promotion will apply.
  • 7. Simply Energy Bonus Qantas Points:
  • 7.1 Members only become eligible to earn Simply Energy Bonus Qantas Points on the date when the Program Partner becomes responsible for the applicable fuel type at the supply address and on the first year anniversary of that date. If a Member is an existing Program Partner customer, Bonus Qantas Points are allocated after the 10 business day cooling off period after they accept the Simply Energy Qantas Business Rewards SME plan and on the first year anniversary of that date.
  • 7.2 If a Member is not an existing Program Partner customer but begins to occupy a supply address for which the Program Partner is already the responsible energy retailer, Bonus Qantas Points will only be allocated at the expiry of the Member’s cooling off period after they accept the Simply Energy Qantas Business Rewards SME plan and on the first year anniversary of that date.
  • 7.3 A Member will not be eligible for Bonus Qantas Points if, before the date on which the Bonus Qantas Points are to be credited, the Program Partner ceases to be responsible for the electricity or gas (as applicable) at the supply address or the Member’s Simply Energy Qantas Business Rewards SME Contract is terminated or cancelled for any reason whatsoever.
  • 8. Crediting Qantas Points in Qantas Business Rewards
  • 8.1 The Program Partner will endeavour to instruct Qantas Business Rewards to credit the applicable number of Qantas Points to the Membership Account within 60 days after the purchase of an Eligible Product. It is the responsibility of the Member to check that the correct number of Qantas Points has accumulated in the Membership Account.
  • 8.2 Claims for the crediting of Qantas Points in Qantas Business Rewards retrospectively must be made by the Member to the Program Partner within 90 days after the purchase of an Eligible Product. Unless otherwise specified by Qantas Business Rewards, claims for the crediting of Qantas Points cannot be made if the Membership is not current or if the Membership Account was not active at the time the Eligible Product was purchased.
  • 9. Suspension or termination of a Member or Qantas Points in Qantas Business Rewards
  • 9.1 The Program Partner reserves the right to terminate a Member’s participation in the Reward Scheme or withhold or cancel Qantas Points claimed under the Reward Scheme if a Member or any of the Member’s representatives has attempted to claim Qantas Points under the Reward Scheme to which they were not entitled.
  • 9.2 The Program Partner and Qantas Business Rewards will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered by any person as a result of such withholding or cancellation and the Member is responsible for ensuring that its nominated Qantas Points Recipients are notified of this.
  • 10. Personal Information
  • By accepting the Eligible Product the Member agrees and consents to disclosing personal information to the Program Partner and Qantas for the purpose of administrating the Reward Scheme and the Qantas Business Rewards Program.
  • 11. Taxation Implications
  • 11.1 The Program Partner recommends that Members and their nominated Qantas Points Recipients consult their accountant or tax adviser to ensure that they understand possible tax (including fringe benefits tax) implications, if any, related to their earning and use of Qantas Points under the Reward Scheme.
  • Guaranteed Discount12.Guaranteed discounts will only apply to usage charges and will not apply to other charges including but not limited to exit fees and will be applied before concessions and GST.
  • 13. If you are not eligible for the discount in respect of a bill, but we apply that discount to your bill (for whatever reason), the amount of the discount will be debited to a subsequent bill.
  • 14. If you are eligible for the discount in respect of a bill, but you overpay the amount of that discount to us, that amount will be credited to your next bill. You will not be entitled to a refund of that amount before your next bill is issued.
  • 15. If your bill is based on an estimate of your energy consumption, the discount will be applied to the estimated consumption. If we subsequently receive an actual meter read, we will adjust the discount on the next bill accordingly.
  • 16. You will not be eligible for the discount if you are on a Fixed Instalment Plan at the time the relevant bill is issued.
  • 17. The discount will end at the end of your benefit period.
  • 18. No failure to exercise or delay in exercising any right, power or remedy by us operates as a waiver. A single or partial exercise of any right, power or remedy does not preclude any other or further exercise of that or any other right, power or remedy. A waiver is not valid or binding on us unless made in writing.

Eligible Products Sale of electricity and/or gas under a Simply Energy Qantas Business Rewards SME Contract.
   
Qantas Business Rewards Simply Energy Ongoing Qantas Points 1 Qantas Point per $1 for the amount paid for electricity or gas (as applicable) invoiced by the Program Partner.
If for any reason the payment amount exceeds the amount invoiced by the Program Partner Qantas Points will not be available for the excess. If the excess remains as a credit on your Simply Energy electricity or gas account and is subsequently applied to further charges accrued to your account, you will be eligible to receive Qantas Points for the amount of the credit applied to the further charges.
Qantas Business Rewards Benefit Simply Energy Bonus Qantas Points
  1. (a) 5,000 Qantas Points on the date when the Program Partner becomes responsible for the electricity supply at the Member’s supply address (or, for existing Program Partner customers, the end of the cooling off period after accepting the Simply Energy Qantas Business Rewards SME plan);
  2. (b) 5,000 Qantas Points on the first year anniversary of the date on which the Program Partner became responsible for the electricity supply at the Member’s supply address (or, for existing Program Partner customers, the end of the cooling off period after accepting the Simply Energy Qantas Business Rewards SME plan);
  3. (c) 2,500 Qantas Points on the date when the Program Partner becomes responsible for the gas supply at the Member’s supply address (or, for existing Program Partner customers, the end of the cooling off period after accepting the Simply Energy Qantas Business Rewards SME plan);
  4. (d) 2,500 Qantas Points on the first year anniversary of the date on which the Program Partner became responsible for the gas supply at the Member’s supply address (or, for existing Program Partner customers, the end of the cooling off period after accepting the Simply Energy Qantas Business Rewards SME plan).
