  • NOTE: Ongoing contract with a 24 month benefit period. Customers with a Solar PV energy system will not be able to sign up online, and will need to call our sales team on 1800 009 148.
  • Eligibility1. To be eligible for this plan you must be a residential customer and a member of Royal Automobile Association of South Australia (RAA) Inc. at the time you enter into the electricity contract. Members of equivalent motoring organisations in other Australian States and Territories or other countries are eligible. You are not eligible for our plan unless we have market contract electricity rates for domestic customers with your meter type in your distribution area. You must meet our creditworthiness and other eligibility criteria.
  • Pay On Time Discount2.The discount specified in the contract confirmation for paying on time (the “pay on time discount”) will be applied:
    1. in respect of those energy charges incurred for energy consumed during the billing period; and
    2. only to the usage component of your electricity rates; and
    3. only to the usage component of your gas rates (if applicable).
  • 3.You will be eligible for the pay on time discount in respect of a bill if payment of the full amount of charges specified on that bill is received by us on or before the pay-by date specified on the bill (note that payments made after business hours may not be received by us until the next business day and therefore may be ineligible for the pay on time discount). If the pay-by date is a weekend or a public holiday, payment must be received by us on or before the next business day.
  • Direct Debit4.If you agreed to set up a direct payment arrangement with us and agreed to our Direct Debit Payment Agreement at the time that you entered into the market contract with us:
    1. you will be eligible for the pay on time discount in respect of a bill if payment of that bill is actually made by direct debit or automatic payment from your credit card in accordance with our Direct Debit Payment Agreement. The amount that we debit from your nominated financial institution to pay your bill will be reduced by the amount of the direct debit discount;
    2. if you are making payment by automatic payment from your credit card you must make payment by Visa or MasterCard to be eligible for the pay on time discount; and
    3. you will not be entitled to the pay on time discount in respect of a bill (and we will not otherwise be responsible) if the direct debit or automatic payment from your credit card fails or is delayed because:
      1. you did not provide the Request for Automatic Payment form, and agree to our Automatic Payment Arrangement Conditions, within the 14 days before the next scheduled meter read date specified on your latest electricity bill;
      2. any of the details you have provided us are incorrect or incomplete; or
      3. there were insufficient clear funds or credit available in the nominated account to meet the Direct Debit Payment Agreement payment on the pay-by date.
  • Ebilling5.If you agreed to receive your energy bills by email (ebilling) and you provided a valid email address at the time that you entered into the market contract with us:
    1. you will be eligible for the pay on time discount in respect of an energy bill if we are actually able to send that energy bill by email to the most recent email address you provided to us for the purposes of ebilling;
    2. you will not be entitled to the pay on time discount in respect of an energy bill (and we will not otherwise be responsible) if:
      1. we receive an undeliverable message in relation to the energy bill we have attempted to send to the most recent email address you provided to us for the purposes of ebilling, even if we are able to subsequently send that energy bill to the email address or a different email address; or
      2. you request us to provide a copy of the energy bill by post in addition to or in substitution for the energy bill that we will send or have sent to you by email;
    3. it is your responsibility to ensure that you maintain a valid email address and whilst we may endeavour to contact you to obtain a new valid email address if we discover that your energy bills have not been successfully delivered to the most recent email address you provided to us for the purposes of ebilling, you will not be entitled to the pay on time discount in respect of an energy bill if we are not able to send an energy bill by email even if we have not endeavoured to contact you to obtain a new valid email address; and
    4. you must advise us immediately of a new valid email address to which we can send your energy bills if you cancel the email account for the most recent email address you provided to use for the purposes of ebilling.
  • General Conditions6.If you are not eligible for the pay on time discount in respect of a bill, but we apply that discount to your bill (for whatever reason), the amount of the pay on time discount will be debited to a subsequent bill.
  • 7.If you are eligible for the pay on time discount in respect of a bill, but you overpay the amount of that discount to us, that amount will be credited to your next bill. You will not be entitled to a refund of that amount before your next bill is issued.
  • 8.If your bill is based on an estimate of your energy consumption, the pay on time discount will be applied to the estimated consumption. If we subsequently receive an actual meter read, we will adjust the discount on the next bill accordingly.
  • 9.You will not be eligible for the pay on time discount if you are on a Fixed Instalment Plan at the time the relevant bill is issued.
  • 10.The pay on time discount will end at the end of your benefit period.
  • 11.No failure to exercise or delay in exercising any right, power or remedy by us operates as a waiver. A single or partial exercise of any right, power or remedy does not preclude any other or further exercise of that or any other right, power or remedy. A waiver is not valid or binding on us unless made in writing.
