The energy industry is regulated by a relevant state body to ensure all energy providers adhere to all state codes and guidelines. Simply go to the section relevant to the state you live in for this information.

In New South Wales, South Australia, Queensland and ACT, the retail energy industry is regulated by Australia Energy Regulator (AER). AER protects consumers by ensuring that all energy providers, including ENGIE, adhere to codes, regulations and guidelines.

It is in your own interest to have an understanding of your rights as a consumer. You can download the relevant codes and guidelines below.

In Victoria, the retail energy industry is regulated by the Essential Services Commission (ESC). The ESC protects consumers by ensuring that all energy providers, including ENGIE, adhere to codes, regulations and guidelines.
