A business must be a Qantas Business Rewards Member to earn Qantas Points for the business. Qantas Points are planed under Simply Energy’s terms and conditions (below). Membership of Qantas Business Rewards and the earning of Qantas Points as a business are subject to the Qantas Business Rewards Terms and Conditions.

Qantas Business Rewards is all about turning everyday business expenses into rewards. Qantas Business Rewards members can earn Qantas Points with over 50 partners, including Simply Energy. It’s a program designed to reward the spirit of Australian business. If your business is not already a member, register now at www.qantasbusinessrewards.com/promotionalEnroll, and then provide the same ABN to Simply Energy when signing up, so we can deliver your Qantas Points to your account.

Plans available to Small to Medium Enterprises customers in Western Australia. Discounts only apply to the usage component of our market contract rates and do not apply to other charges such as supply charges. If you’re an existing customer, the rates may not be the same as the rates of your current plan. Ongoing contract with 24 month benefit period. 
  1. Introduction
    1. These Terms and Conditions:
      • apply to and govern the contractual relationship between the Program Partner and each Member with respect to the Reward Scheme made available by the Program Partner as a participant in the Qantas Business Rewards Program;
      • are effective as at the date specified above and may be amended from time to time; and
      • operate in conjunction with the Qantas Business Rewards Program Terms and Conditions (available at www.qantasbusinessrewards.com.au) and in the event of any inconsistency or conflict the Qantas Business Rewards Program Terms and Conditions prevail.
    2. The current Reward Scheme Terms and Conditions are available at www.qantasbusinessrewards.com/terms. It is the Member’s responsibility to read and understand them. Any queries regarding these Terms and Conditions should be directed to the Program Partner.
  2. Definitions
    1. Unless the context otherwise requires:
      • terms used in the
      • Qantas Business Rewards Program Terms and Conditions and the QFF Program Terms have the same meaning in these Terms and Conditions; and
      • the following terms have these meanings in these Terms and Conditions.
      • Eligible Products means the sale of electricity &/or gas as to Members of Qantas Business Rewards under the Simply Energy Qantas Business Rewards SME Contract.

        Member means a registered member of the Qantas Business Rewards Loyalty Program.

        Program Partner means IPOWER2 PTY LTD & IPOWER PTY LTD in partnership trading as Simply Energy ABN 67 269 241 237;

        Qantas Business Rewards Benefits means the Simply Energy Ongoing Qantas Points as specified in the table at the end of this document.

        Reward Scheme means, for the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, the Qantas Business Rewards Benefits provided to Members under a Simply Energy Qantas Business Rewards SME Contract;

        Simply Energy Qantas Business Rewards SME Contract means a contract formed on acceptance by a Member of the Simply Energy Qantas Business Rewards SME offer.

        Simply Energy Qantas Business Rewards SME Offer means the offer from Simply Energy to a Small Business Customer for the sale of electricity and/or gas inclusive of benefits including the Qantas Business Rewards Benefits.

        Small Business Customer means a Member that:

        • has an Australian Business Number (ABN);
        • consumes less than 160 MWh (40 MWh for supply addresses in Victoria) of electricity each year and less than 1TJ of gas each year at the supply address under the Simply Energy Qantas Business Rewards SME Contract; and
        • conducts a business from the supply address under the Simply Energy Qantas Business Rewards SME Contract.

        SME Customer means a Small Business Customer that has an electricity network business tariff assigned to the supply address under the Simply Energy Qantas Business Rewards SME Contract.

        SOHO Customer Products means the sale of electricity &/or gas as to Members of Qantas Business Rewards under the Simply Energy Qantas Business Rewards SME Contract.

        Simply Energy Ongoing Qantas Business Rewards Points means the Simply Energy Ongoing Qantas Points as specified in the table at the end of this document.

        Terms and Conditions means these Reward Scheme Terms and Conditions which are administered by the Program Partner.

    2. In these Terms and Conditions, unless the contrary intention appears:
      • the singular includes the plural and vice versa; and
      •  a reference to ‘include’ or ‘including’ means ‘including but not limited to.
  3. Application of Reward Scheme Terms and Conditions
  4. By claiming any Qantas Business Rewards Benefit under the Reward Scheme, a Member agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions in addition to the Qantas Business Rewards Program Terms and Conditions.

  5. Changes to Reward Scheme
    1. Subject to clause 4.2 and the Reward Scheme Terms and Conditions, the Program Partner may implement any changes (whether material or otherwise) to these Terms and Conditions and the Qantas Points offered in relation to Eligible Products, including changes to:
      • the ways in which Qantas Points are earned under the Reward Scheme;
      • Eligible Products; and
      • restrictions, conditions and eligibility to earn Qantas Points under the Reward Scheme.
    2. The Program Partner will inform Members of material changes to these Terms and Conditions and where such changes will reduce the number of Qantas Points offered to Members under the Reward Scheme, when possible, give Members at least 30 days’ notice.
    3. Without limiting clause 4.1 in any way, Members will be taken to have received the notice referred to in clause 4.2 if the Program Partner or Qantas Business Rewards Program notifies Members of the change by sending an email to the email address in the Membership Account.
  6. Termination or suspension of the Reward Scheme
    1. The Program Partner gives no undertaking as to the continuing availability of the Reward Scheme. The Program Partner may terminate or suspend the Reward Scheme at any time. and will give at least 60 days’ notice to Members of such termination or suspension, except if the Qantas Business Rewards Program ceases to operate, in which case the Reward Scheme will cease immediately.
    2. If the Program Partner terminates or suspends the Reward Scheme, subject to the Qantas Business Rewards Program Terms and Conditions Members will be able to  convert Qantas Points during the notice period, except where:
      • Qantas is ceasing to operate an airline business and/or has gone into liquidation, receivership or other form of administration; and/or
      • the Program Partner ceases to operate its business and/or has one into liquidation, receivership or other form of administration,

      in which case Qantas Points in Qantas Business Rewards may be cancelled without notice.

  7. Earning Qantas Business Rewards
    1. Subject to the exclusions, limitations and other conditions specified in this clause 6, the Program Partner will award Qantas Business Rewards Benefits to Members at the applicable rate specified in the Program Partner Earn Table, or in any special offer, for Eligible Products paid for by the Member for the Member’s business related purposes.
    2. No Qantas Business Rewards Benefits will be awarded if the Eligible Product is terminated or cancelled for any reason whatsoever before the Program Partner becomes responsible for the supply of electricity and/or gas at the Members address.
    3. To earn Qantas Business Rewards Benefits in relation to an Eligible Product, the Member must quote its ABN and at the time of purchasing an Eligible Product and must comply with any other requirements or procedures advised by the Program Partner prior to the purchase.
    4. It is the responsibility of the Member to check whether a product or other activity is eligible to earn Qantas Business Rewards Benefits, and if so how many Qantas Points or which other Qantas Business Rewards Benefits will be earned, before making a purchase or undertaking the relevant activity.
    5. Members must provide the Program Partner on request with documented verification of the purchase of an Eligible Product. The Program Partner reserves the right to deny or revoke the crediting of Qantas Points in Qantas Business Rewards at any time if the Program Partner determines that Qantas Points were improperly obtained or erroneously credited to a Member’s Membership Account.
    6. Unless otherwise determined by the Program Partner, Members are not eligible to earn Qantas Points in the Reward Scheme if they:
      • have their principal place of business outside Australia;
      • are not a registered member of the Qantas Business Rewards Loyalty Program at the time of accepting the Simply Energy Qantas Business Rewards SME Offer;
      • do not quote the same Australian Business Number (ABN) as registered for the Member’s Qantas Business Rewards Loyalty Program membership account at the time of accepting the Simply Energy Qantas Business Rewards SME Offer;
      • are not a party to Simply Energy Qantas Business Rewards SME Contract;
      • are not a Small Business Customer;
      • are not a SOHO if the Simply Energy Qantas Business Rewards SME Offer for a State or a particular electricity or gas distribution in a State states that it is only available to SOHO Customers.
    7. The Program Partner may offer additional opportunities to earn Qantas Points in Qantas Business Rewards under a special promotion from time to time, in which case the terms and conditions referred to in the promotion will apply.

  8. Members will earn 3 Qantas Point for every $1 paid for electricity and gas during their Simply Energy Qantas Business Rewards SME Contract
  9. SA Business QANTAS Points

  10. Members will earn 4 Qantas Point for every $1 paid for electricity and gas during their Simply Energy Qantas Business Rewards SME Contract
  11. NSW Business QANTAS Points

  12. Members will earn 4 Qantas Point for every $1 paid for electricity and gas during their Simply Energy Qantas Business Rewards SME Contract
  13. QLD Business QANTAS Points

  14. Members will earn 4 Qantas Point for every $1 paid for electricity during their Simply Energy Qantas Business Rewards SME Contract
  15. WA Business QANTAS Points

  16. Members will earn 4 Qantas Point for every $1 paid for gas during their Simply Energy Qantas Business Rewards SME Contract
  17. Crediting Qantas Points in Qantas Business Rewards
    1. The Program Partner will endeavour to instruct Qantas Business Rewards to credit the applicable number of Qantas Points to the Membership Account within 60 days after the purchase of an Eligible Product. It is the responsibility of the Member to check that the correct number of Qantas Points has accumulated in the Membership Account.
    2. Claims for the crediting of Qantas Points in Qantas Business Rewards retrospectively must be made by the Member to the Program Partner within 90 days after the purchase of an Eligible Product. Unless otherwise specified by Qantas Business Rewards, claims for the crediting of Qantas Points cannot be made if the Membership is not current or if the Membership Account was not active at the time the Eligible Product was purchased.
  18. Suspension or termination of a Member or Qantas Points in Qantas Business Rewards
    1. The Program Partner reserves the right to terminate a Member’s participation in the Reward Scheme or withhold or cancel Qantas Points claimed under the Reward Scheme if a Member or any of the Member’s representatives has attempted to claim Qantas Points under the Reward Scheme to which they were not entitled.
    2. The Program Partner and Qantas Business Rewards will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered by any person as a result of such withholding or cancellation and the Member is responsible for ensuring that its nominated Qantas Points Recipients are notified of this.
  19. Personal Information
    1. By accepting the Eligible Product the Member agrees and consents to disclosing personal information to the Program Partner and Qantas for the purpose of administrating the Reward Scheme and the Qantas Business Rewards Program.
  20. Taxation
    1. The Program Partner recommends that Members and their nominated Qantas Points Recipients consult their accountant or tax adviser to ensure that they understand possible tax (including fringe benefits tax) implications, if any, related to their earning and use of Qantas Points under the Reward Scheme

    If for any reason the payment amount exceeds the amount invoiced by the Program Partner Qantas Points will not be available for the excess. If the excess remains as a credit on your Simply Energy electricity or gas account and is subsequently applied to further charges accrued to your account, you will be eligible to receive Qantas Points for the amount of the credit applied to the further charges.

^A business must be a Qantas Business Rewards Member to earn Qantas Points for business. A one-off join fee of $89.50 including GST normally applies but will be waived for Simply Energy customers that join by 15 September 2019. Membership and Qantas Points are subject to Qantas Business Rewards Terms and Conditions. Qantas Points for business are offered under the Simply Energy Terms and Conditions. Any claims in relation to Qantas Points under this offer must be made directly to Simply Energy.

*To earn 5,000 bonus Qantas Points, a business must (a) join Qantas Business Rewards by 11:59pm (AEST) 15 September 2019 (b) sign up to the Simply Energy Business Qantas Points offer by 11.59 (AEST) 15 September 2019. Members in SA, NSW, QLD and WA earn 4 Qantas Points per every $1 spent with Simply Energy under Simply Energy’s Business Qantas Points offer. Members in VIC earn 3 Qantas Points per every $1 spent with Simply Energy under Simply Energy’s Business Qantas Points offer. Bonus Qantas Points may take up to 12 weeks to be credited to your Qantas Business Rewards account from the date that the ‘first earn’ is credited to the account. There is a maximum of 5,000 bonus points per Qantas Business Rewards account.
