Saving with hot water
If you have shower facilities in the building, install low-flow shower heads.
Hot water tanks should be installed close to usage points to avoid heat loss travelling through extensive pipework.
If the hot water system has an adjustable thermostat, adjust it to provide the minimum hot water temperature.
Choose a hot water system appropriate for your office size.
Insulate hot water pipes between the tank and the taps.
Turn the hot water system off if it's not needed.
Check to make sure the hot water system is operating on the most economical setting.
