Energy Efficiency Schemes
On 1 January 2009 two new state-based energy efficiency schemes were introduced - the Energy Saver Incentive in Victoria and the Residential Energy Efficiency Scheme (REES) in South Australia. As part of these new Government initiatives Simply Energy is promoting household energy efficiency in order to meet each state's energy efficiency targets. These targets will be achieved through the uptake of energy efficient technology in residential homes.
Simply Energy is offering an Energy Efficiency Package to eligible customers free of charge through a partnership with energy efficiency specialists, Green Made Easy. This package includes replacing incandescent light globes with energy efficient compact fluorescent light (CFL) globes and replacing inefficient showerheads in some areas with water saving ones.
